Creative Cards by Pat

Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

I was cruising around on Pinterest and found this beautiful card. I found the card on Patti Lee's site...
Great Job Patti!!

I copied the post right from Patti's site:

This pocket card is a past favorite card style - bring it back!!!! NOW fill it with flowers. I love how this turned out. Simple layering of the flower shapes makes this easy to make. Leave the flowers flat or they can be shaped with a bone folder. Flip up the pocket for an additional area to leave a message. Card size is 5-1/2" x 4-1/4".

With note card removed: message to be stamped later.

Card front template:

Note Card measurements:

Cut pieces:

(1) 5-1/2" x 8-1/4" Rose Red CS, score as shown in above template
(1) 4" x 5-1/4" Rose Red DSP
(3) sets of flowers in Whisper White CS
(1) 3-3/4" x 3-3/4" note card in Whisper White CS (not shown in photo)
(5) leaves in a mixture of sizes for variety (not shown in photo)
(3) 3/3" Punched circles in Rose Red CS for flower centers. (not shown in photo)
Using a sponge dauber and Rose Red ink, ink the centers of each flower.

Assembly: follow the green arrows

Use the wide oval punch as well as the large oval punch for punch out the leaves. Fold them in half, then put them through the crimper.

Here are the finished flowers and leaves:

Using the Big Shot, position the 4-1/2" x 5-1/4" paper into the Vintage Wallpaper in the folder for this great impression

Attach the Rose Red DSP 1/8" away from the edge, then fold the Rose Red DSP back (underneath). You may not wish to attach the DSP while the paper is flat. The fold lines will cause the paper to "buckle". Insert the white note card. Using the back of the card, cut off the excess. Your card should now look like this:

Supplies:
Stamps: none
CS: Rose Red, Whisper White, Old Olive, Rose Red DSP (retired)
Ink: Rose Red
Accys: SU Exclusive Vintage Wallpaper Impression Folder, SU Exclusive Big Shot Blossom Party Die, Large Oval Punch, Wide Oval Punch, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Sponging Daubers, Dimensionals, Crimper.

Relay for Life

Hello Everyone!

I have been inspired by my neice who has participated in fundraising for Relay for Life for the last 4 years.  Each year she walks in memory of my mother who passed away at age 45 of colon cancer.  My mother-in-law and neice are also both cancer survivors.  Even after three family members have been touched by the disease we feel greatful and blessed that we are healthy and happy family.

In the spirit of giving and in supporting such a great cause I will be selling greeting cards for $3 each and donating $1 each to Relay for Life.  I am making this a virtual fundraising event in the hope that I will reach more people.  The following six cards have been tagged with an identifying numbers and are the cards I will be making and selling.

So friends near and far please contact me by either sending me a message on Facebook at Creative Cards by Pat or email me at pschultz1@frontier.com if interested in the cards and in donating to worthy cause.

Every order counts toward finding the a cure for cancer.  I appreciate your support.

Summer Silhoutte

I wasn't kidding when I said I stamped all day on Saturday:)  Here is another of the cards I created!

I'm a fool for Stampin' Up!'s Regal Color Collection.

Here I used Always Artichoke Cardstock #105119 cut 5.5 x 8.50 folded in half to form the card base.

Next I took Very Vanilla Cardstock #101650 cut 5.25 x 4.  After cutting I ran the Very Vanilla cut stock through my Big Shot #113439 using my Adorning Accents Edgelit #125595 and then again with my Modern Mosaic Embossing Folder #129984.

Cut a piece of Cherry Cobbler Cardstock #119685 3/4 x 5.25.  Place a line of adhesive under the scalloped edge and adhere to the Cherry Cobbler Cardstock you just cut.

Next I cut a piece of Cherry Cobbler stock 5 x 2 and a piece of Very Vanilla stock 4 3/4 x 1 3/4.
Using the leafy vine from the Summer Silhoutte stamp set #132082 randomly stamp the Very Vanilla stock in Always Artichoke ink # 126972.  Next using the polka dot stamp from the Petite Petals stamp set # 133152 randomly stamp the Very Vanilla stock with Cherry Cobbler ink #126966.  Adhere the Very Vanilla stock to the Cherry Cobbler stock then adhere this assembled piece to the 5.25 x 4 piece of Very Vanilla that you assembled earlier.  Adhere the whole thing to the face of the card base.

Using one of the Petite Petals stamps, stamp 3 images onto a scrap of Cherry Cobbler stock and then punch these images out with the Petite Petals Punch #133322.  Using Stampin' Dimensionals #104430 adhere the three punched Petite Petals to the front of the card.

Lastly I stamped an image from the Four Frames stamp set onto a scrap of Very Vanilla stock and punched it out using the Decorative Label punch #120907.  From a scrap of the Cherry Cobbler stock punch another of piece using the same Decorative Label punch.  Then I cut the Cherry Cobbler label diagonally from end to end.  Place and  adhere each piece of the cut label behind the Very Vanilla stamped and punched image leaving the edges showing on opposite corners.  Adhere this label to the card using a Stampin' Dimensional on the right side and just adhesive on the left.

Add a little bling with embellishments you have on hand!

Fabulous Florets

From the 2013 Annual Catalog I purchased the Fabulous Florets Stamp Set.

This is the first card I made with this set and am excited with how it turned out!

Instructions for this card are as follows:

Cut Whipser White Card Stock # 100730 5.5 x 8.25 folded in half to form the card base.
Then cut another piece of Whisper White Cardstock 5.25 x 3.75 and a piece of Rich Razzleberry Cardstock# 115316 cut 5.25 x 1.00.  Both pieces need to be run through the Big Shot #113439 using the Adorning Accents Edgelits #125595 and the Adorning Accents Embossing folder  #125601.

After embossing and cutting using the Adorning Accents Edgelit position and glue the two pieces so that the width of the two together measure 4" wide.

Using the Stem/Leaves stamp from the Fabulous Florets stamp set and Old Olive ink# 126953 stamp                an image on the front of the card.

Stamp the image of the flower onto a 2 x 2 piece of Watercolor Paper # 122595 with Rich Razzleberry ink #126950.  Using a Rich Razzleberry ink pad and an Aqua Painter # 103954 begin shading in the flower you stamped on the Watercolor Paper...hint...the center and the edges should be shaded darker than the inside of each petal.  To darken the edges of the petals even more, trace the edges and center with a Rich Razzleberry marker # 120970 softening these lines with the Aqua Painter.  The center of the flower is done in the same manner, but with Pumpkin Pie Ink #126945.  Using an Early Espresso Marker # 119680 I darkened the area around the center of the flow just inside the petals....again....soften this with the Aqua Painter.  When done coloring the flower I dipped my Aqua Painter into and brushed on a clear glimmer paint.  Adhere the flower to the card with a Stampin' Dimensional #104430

Using the Petite Pairs greetings stamp set #128706 Wood and the Rich Razzleberry ink pad I chose a sentiment for the card.  You could also make this a wedding, get well, thinking of you or even sympathy card.

Using the Old Olive 1/4" ribbon, loop the ribbon around the back of the card front and  tie a small bow off to the right side of the card.

Using Stampin' Dimensionals I attached the front of the card to the base.

Sale-a-Bration is going on now and is the best time of the year to stock up!  For every $50 you spend, you can choose a FREE Sale-a-Bration item!  If you need a Sale-a-Bration flyer, please email me at Pschultz1@frontier.com

Virtual Card Club

I've decided to start a card club for my long distance followers!

Once a month I will stamp, punch and cut the paper for three cards for either a prepaid fee of $10 per month or the cards are free with a $30 Stampin' Up! order when you use me as your demonstrator.  Envelopes will be included.

A virtual card club has a few advantages:

1.  You create three beautiful cards from the convenience of your own home.  All supplies will be mailed to you within three days of when payment is received.

2.  Unless you are a stamper already and want to build your creative arsenal , there is no need to purchase any unwanted product.  Who knows though...after you begin stamping you may want to have the tools and supplies to be creative all on your own!

3.  There is no requirement to purchase the cards every month, but once you start you may want to:-)

4.  I use Paypal so payment is simple and easy.

5.  I've installed a "Contact Form"  in the right-hand sidebar of my blog.  If interested in joining my virtual card club all you need to do is contact me through the "Contact Form" on my blog and either send your money via paypal ( I will give you my paypal account info when you contact me) or place a $30 order by visiting my Stampin' Up! Demo page.

Click on any ShopWithPat link on this blog to place your order!  Hope to hear from you soon!
