Fabulous Florets

From the 2013 Annual Catalog I purchased the Fabulous Florets Stamp Set.

This is the first card I made with this set and am excited with how it turned out!

Instructions for this card are as follows:

Cut Whipser White Card Stock # 100730 5.5 x 8.25 folded in half to form the card base.
Then cut another piece of Whisper White Cardstock 5.25 x 3.75 and a piece of Rich Razzleberry Cardstock# 115316 cut 5.25 x 1.00.  Both pieces need to be run through the Big Shot #113439 using the Adorning Accents Edgelits #125595 and the Adorning Accents Embossing folder  #125601.

After embossing and cutting using the Adorning Accents Edgelit position and glue the two pieces so that the width of the two together measure 4" wide.

Using the Stem/Leaves stamp from the Fabulous Florets stamp set and Old Olive ink# 126953 stamp                an image on the front of the card.

Stamp the image of the flower onto a 2 x 2 piece of Watercolor Paper # 122595 with Rich Razzleberry ink #126950.  Using a Rich Razzleberry ink pad and an Aqua Painter # 103954 begin shading in the flower you stamped on the Watercolor Paper...hint...the center and the edges should be shaded darker than the inside of each petal.  To darken the edges of the petals even more, trace the edges and center with a Rich Razzleberry marker # 120970 softening these lines with the Aqua Painter.  The center of the flower is done in the same manner, but with Pumpkin Pie Ink #126945.  Using an Early Espresso Marker # 119680 I darkened the area around the center of the flow just inside the petals....again....soften this with the Aqua Painter.  When done coloring the flower I dipped my Aqua Painter into and brushed on a clear glimmer paint.  Adhere the flower to the card with a Stampin' Dimensional #104430

Using the Petite Pairs greetings stamp set #128706 Wood and the Rich Razzleberry ink pad I chose a sentiment for the card.  You could also make this a wedding, get well, thinking of you or even sympathy card.

Using the Old Olive 1/4" ribbon, loop the ribbon around the back of the card front and  tie a small bow off to the right side of the card.

Using Stampin' Dimensionals I attached the front of the card to the base.
